Do you support applications from outside the Wellington region?

We support applications from the Wellington Region that includes Wellington City, the Kāpiti Coast, the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.

Who can apply for support?

Anyone who works in or conducts research in the discipline of anaesthesia or disciplines aligned to anaesthesia including pain management, intensive care and emergency care. This includes doctors, nurses, anaesthetic technicians, other health professionals and scientists.

Is it possible to apply for funding as a student?

We support students who are involved in research projects (e.g. summer scholarships) that are funded through institutions such as universities and community polytechnics. We do not fund student study scholarships.

What types of research or other activities are you currently looking to support?

We support research that is intended to seed applicants in their first step to generate larger scholarships and research projects. We also support applicants to undertake clinical audit activities as well as activities that lead to quality improvement and increased safety in healthcare related to the discipline of anaesthesia and aligned disciplines. We support educational and professional development activities for those disciplines that are otherwise not funded.

How much funding can I apply for?

Research applications are typically around to $5000.00 (exclusive of GST). On the basis of merit, we are prepared to support applications of more than this amount. Contact the Trust if significantly greater support is required before you submit your application.
